Biographical Info:

I’m honored and humbled to have the opportunity to run for the position of governing board member for the Vail Unified School District (VUSD). I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and received a degree in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University. After college, I joined the U. S. Border Patrol and worked in various places including Texas and Arizona. In Arizona, I met my wonderful husband and we were blessed with two wonderful children.
Fast forward to today, my husband and I have an eighth grader and a tenth grader in the VUSD and I have retired from the U. S. Border Patrol with 25 years of service. Over the years, I have volunteered countless hours at my children schools and would enjoy the opportunity to serve the community as a board member for the VUSD.

Statement:

I would like to run for a position as a govering board member to ensure the VUSD continues and exceeds the educational excellence that already exists. I also support the much needed safety upgrades to all the VUSD schools to ensure students, teachers and support staff are safe while on campus or any other school owned property.
I am a parents right advocate and will loyally defend their right to a voice.
If elected to the VUSD as a governing board member, I will fulfill my obligation to the fullest and represent the parents, teachers, support staff, students and community members that elect me. It would be a privilege to serve as your representative.
