Biographical Info:

Esteban is a native-born local Tucsonan who loves his wife and precious six-year-old daughter loves his city and wants to serve his community well. He is a pro-family values man, pro-community, pro-faith. He has served his community as a youth pastor and preacher in multiple churches, in the community. He also is a life coach for his business called Fulfilling Freedom Consulting, where he helps people heal from their past pain, and cultivate freedom from negative emotional behaviors and addictions leading to the freedom they were called to. He also aids his community physically by serving as their endoscopy tech during endoscopic procedures. He is a high school alumnus of San Miguel High School a Catholic Lasallian school from the Cristo Rey Network. Growing up, however, most of his education came from public schools in the TUSD and Sunnyside districts. He is running to be a voice for you and your child. To promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty for you and your posterity!

Statement:

I am running to be a voice for you and your child. To promote the common defense, and the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty for you and your posterity! I love my city. I was born and raised in Tucson. I want to improve student safety make TUSD better academically and establish fiscal soundness. I desire to bring parents and families together and make their voices heard. I want to deliver a TUSD they can trust and be proud of. That is respected around the community for a brighter future for TUSD families. I see a lot of parents concerned with the public school system regarding various safety and transparency concerns not just in TUSD but around the country. I want parents to know you have an advocate for you. Your parental authority will always be respected and protected with me. I am an advocate and defender of the Constitution. You are the one with the power, I will be your public servant. Allow me to be a board member who will hear and heed your voice for your children as if they were my own. The children of America are America’s future. Allow me to be your public servant on the TUSD Governing Board!

1. Requiring district and charter school officials, including teachers, to inform parents about their child’s social, mental, emotional, or physical health. S* There should never be anything hidden from a parent that is entrusting their child to an institution. Withholding information, to parents about their children is wrong, especially when the school does not have the authority to do so. If something is wrong or a concern is there the parents should know about it. To violate this is to undermine parental authority.
2. Allowing parents to opt their children out of activities or lessons that offend their personal, moral, or religious beliefs. S* No one should be forced to do something that violates their conscience or beliefs.
3. Increasing state and local taxes to provide more funding for schools and school facility projects. O* Increasing taxes hurts working families, especially at a time when it's very difficult to make ends meet due to the rising cost of living nowadays. Many Tucson families are struggling, and raising taxes of any kind now would be a major blow to them. We need to examine where money is being spent negligently and unwisely and make adjustments so that fiscal responsibility can benefit Tucson families.
4. Requiring signed permission from a parent before a student may participate in any sexuality related instruction, activities, or clubs. S* Parents must consent and be given the knowledge of what will be taught to their child.
5. Allowing all parents to use tax credits and publicly funded empowerment scholarship accounts to enable their children to attend any private, homeschool, or online academy of their choice. S* No one knows what's best for a child's education more than their loving parents. It's empowering for parents to have the freedom to choose where they want to send their children to school.
6. Making available books and instructional materials that include sexually explicit images and themes in school classrooms and libraries. O* We need to protect our children's virtue and purity.
7. Acquiring parental consent for school faculty and staff to refer to students by pronouns that do not align with the student’s birth sex. −* According to the Science of Biology: "Biology defines sex as a binary variable in most sexually reproducing plants and animals because they produce two types of gametes with distinct size differences. Females produce large gametes (eggs), while males produce small, usually motile gametes (sperm)."There are only two genders.no one at school can be compelled to use those pronouns if they don't align with that student's sex assigned at birth according to the law.
