Biographical Info:

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and attended the University of Iowa. I moved to Tucson when I got married 26 years ago. We moved into the Flowing Wells district 21 years ago to ensure our children would be attending Flowing Wells. We have 3 children. who all attend or attended public universities in Arizona.

I have been on the FW Board for 8 years now. I am also involved on the State level through Arizona School Board Association. I have been Pima County Co-Director on the Board of Directors for four years and have served on the Finance Committee and the Legislative Committee. I have also served on the Legislative Committee for the Arizona Interscholastic Association for the past three years. I also served on the Metropolitan Education Commission for two years.

Statement:

I have been very involved in Flowing Wells since my children entered kindergarten. My husband and all three of my children attended Flowing Wells schools kindergarten through 12th grade. While my children were in elementary, I was President of the school’s PTO. I also chaired the District override and bond committee. We successfully passed two overrides and a bond during that time.

The next logical step to continue my advocacy for Flowing Wells was to run for the Governing Board which I first did in 2016. I was appointed in 2016 and in 2020 to the Board. This year, I have chosen once again to run as I feel there is always more work to be done to ensure that Flowing Wells remains the amazing District it has been for many years.
